It is a common misconception that mice and rats are dirty creatures, nothing could be further from the truth they are incredibly intelligent and clean animals that make great pets. While it is not common for them to suffer from fleas, it is possible if you have other animals in the house for them to transfer from one animal to another. In very small animals it is especially important to keep an eye out for signs of fleas as they can quickly become anaemic due to their size. Mice and rats are mostly affected by mites which can result in them scratching a lot, this may lead to them injuring themselves. We stock a range of appropriate small rodent medications that can help you if your rat or mouse is suffering from mites.
